The following is a list of guidelines and standards that influence the safe delivery of endoscopic care hospitals and health care facilities. This list includes those guidelines and standards available at the time of publication. Though every effort has been made to include all available guidelines, this list is not all inclusive and will be updated as new guidelines become available.


The Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN) is the national association committed to improving patient safety in the surgical setting. The AORN develops standards and guidelines used in a wide variety of surgical settings.
